Washington State University is a a public land-grant research university in Pullman Washington with a vibrant and growing school of music! The percussion area at WSU consists of Dr. Christopher Wilson (concert percussion & athletic bands) and Dr. Darryl Singleton (jazz coordinator and non-Western percussion). The school offers opportunities for music majors, music minors, and non-major students. Our ensembles include the orchestra, concert bands, percussion ensemble, lab jazz bands, jazz combos, the Cougar Marching Band, and pep bands for volleyball and basketball. Click here to learn more!

COUGAR MARCHING BAND DRUMLINE AND PEP BANDS
The WSU Cougar Marching Band fields a nearly 30-person drumline that performs as a section with the marching band a separately at other sporting events. There are zoom classes over the summer to help students prepare for auditions, then an intensive camp that starts ten days before the beginning of the fall semester. The audition consists of playing selections from the CMB warmup and pregame packets (see below). During the school year auditions are held for drum set positions in the WSU pep bands. Additional information and practice recordings are provided for anyone interested.
